These terms set out the basis on which you may use this website and get in touch with CEIBA. Please read them carefully. By using the site, you agree to them.
01These terms
These terms of service govern your use of this website (the “site”). By browsing or using the site, contacting us through it, or using the live chat, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
02About us
This site is operated by CEIBA, the trading name of Geraldine Spencer, the transformational coaching practice founded by Gerry Spencer. You can reach us at gerry@ceibamethod.co.uk. Our business address is 1 Brame Hall Farm, Harrogate, HG3 1SB.
03Using this website
You may use this site for lawful, personal purposes only. You agree not to:
- use the site in any way that breaks the law or infringes anyone’s rights;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, its systems, or its data;
- introduce viruses or other harmful material, or interfere with the site’s operation;
- copy, reproduce, or republish material from the site except as allowed below.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to view the site for your own use. All other rights are reserved.
04Intellectual property
All content on this site, including text, images, graphics, layout, and design, is owned by or licensed to CEIBA and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not use, copy, or reproduce any of it without our written permission.
05Enquiries and bookings
When you submit a discovery call request or send a message through the site, you are asking us to get in touch. This does not by itself create a coaching agreement. Any coaching engagement, including its scope, fees, and terms, will be agreed separately in writing before work begins. Please make sure the details you give us are accurate so we can respond to you.
Confidentiality, cancellation, fees, and other terms of any coaching engagement are set out separately in the client-coach agreement, which governs our working relationship once you become a client.
06The nature of coaching
Coaching is a partnership between equals. You bring the expertise on your own life; I bring structure, questions, and a space to think clearly.
It is also worth being clear about what coaching is and is not:
- Coaching is not medical, psychological, or psychiatric treatment, therapy, or counselling. If something comes up during our work together that would be better supported by a therapist, doctor, or other professional, I will say so and help signpost you to find the right kind of support.
- Coaching is not a crisis or emergency service.
- Coaching works best when you are able to be an active and open participant, so results depend on you as much as the coach. I cannot promise particular outcomes.
- As an ICF qualified coach, I work in accordance with the ICF Code of Ethics at all times.
If you are in crisis or need urgent help, please contact your GP, call 999, or reach the Samaritans on 116 123. Nothing on this site should be treated as medical or professional advice.
07Age
This website and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly provide services to, or collect information from, anyone under 16.
08Your messages and conduct
When you use the enquiry form or live chat, you agree to communicate respectfully and lawfully, and not to send abusive, misleading, or unlawful content. We may decline to respond to, or may end, any communication that is abusive or inappropriate.
09Third-party links
The site may contain links to other websites that we do not control. We provide these for convenience only, and we are not responsible for their content, products, or practices. Following any external link is at your own risk.
10Availability of the site
We aim to keep the site available and up to date, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available or free from errors. The site and its content are provided “as is”. We may change, suspend, or withdraw all or part of the site at any time without notice.
11Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under the law.
Subject to that, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site, or from reliance on any content on it. Your use of the site is at your own risk.
12Privacy
We handle your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. Please read it to understand how we collect and use your information.
13Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page is the one that applies to your use of the site, and the date it was last updated is shown at the top. Please review it when you visit.
14Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
